In an earlier blog entry, I posted the full text of this poem by a sister team billing themselves as The AfroFaerie Project.  I encountered the poem initially while I was in the now defunct Soultry forum (which is dearly missed).  Try as I might when MySpace was en vogue (seems like a lifetime ago), I could not seem to cajole the sisters (Ade & Safia) to pony up any new material or find out which projects they were working on, but perhaps a future project will be to track them down and see if they are still performing.  They were a perfectly eloquent and exceptional pair in crafting this piece.  The substance of which contains caricature which all black folk can remember being part of a childhood vision of Africa until we got schooled unfortunately some of us still think Africa is a what?!?
