…paused
in wretched
onslaught
of rigid gridlock
no longer

whereas once
was i
stuck in traffic
impatiently
pacing myself
to bypass any
extracurricular
off trail excursion

scented fields of
French lavender
and Calla lily
posed an
unwelcome
diversion
from rapid
forward
progression.

Passion Time.

…now i pioneer
fleet footed freedom
in every visible
oft ignored
corner of the city
privy to passive eyes
dancing between
the rhythm
of ticking clockwork
where work stops
my workshop opens
wide and receptive
perceptive
to modest changes
in decor
evolving as an
Earth underneath.

Past Time.

…redefining punctuality
as the measurement
of my ability
to always mind
the timely arrival
at any place
i presently stand

rucksack packing
time o’ plenty
so should i see you
scurrying hurriedly
to catch up to life
i’d gladly give you
a piece o’ mine

contrary to popular
opinion
time is not money
time is time
mostly invaluable
worth only
what few parties
reach in agreement

leaving time
bursting
with opportunity
to choose
movement
or stillness
as the only way
you can lose
is if you
won’t determine
for yourself
how to use
your Time.
